Are discomfort and pain in your body taking away from the joys of your pregnancy?

From nagging low back pain to SI joint pain or hip pain... The common aches of pregnancy often leave women feeling frustrated and resigned.

“It is what it is”.

But it’s not true! You CAN feel comfort, ease, and stability in your body during pregnancy- and this will also support your birth.

You know movement is important for your pregnancy, but what used to feel good in your body, doesn’t necessarily suit this stage of expansion.

You know your body is not broken, but everyone is acting like using your body during pregnancy is risky.

You also see women doing Crossfit in pregnancy and wonder if that’s the way…

You want to be surrounded by women who trust the strength of the female body in pregnancy and in birth.

You know your pregnant body has unique needs, and you want to be doing what’s best for you and your baby.

You’re craving some supportive movement that you can come back to again and again.

Are you craving community in your pregnancy? Pregnancy can sometimes feel lonely or isolating.

Maybe you’ve attended some in-person prenatal yoga classes, yearning for community, and it always leaves you wanting more.

The fitness classes you used to go to don’t feel the same, or don’t have any intelligent or supportive adaptations for pregnant women.

You wish there was somewhere you could learn how to move best during pregnancy, and specifically how your movement and your female physiology relates to your birth.

You’re in the right place.

Babies are born through movement.

And pregnancy provides you with the perfect opportunity to prepare your body with movement that will help you birth your baby.

The truth is, most of the standard prenatal yoga classes are not designed specifically for what pregnant women need, they are modified from regular yoga classes to ensure the belly doesn’t compress.

That’s it.

They often include a lot of deep squatting and forward folding, which are ultimately not supportive for a strong and stable pregnant body.

But the physiology of pregnancy requires certain focus. And pregnant women deserve time, attention, care & community with women who truly get it.

Moving during pregnancy supports the biomechanical process of birth. Babies are born through their own movement, and the movement of the pelvis, diaphragm, rib basket, and feet.

In my opinion, functional birth-informed movement isn’t emphasized enough in pregnancy.

When we move better, we birth better.

Discomforts in pregnancy are often caused by restrictions in our tissues, and our baby's positioning is impacted by these very restrictions.

Do you know that feeling of “ugh, my baby’s in my right rib”, or “it feels like my baby is sitting right against my sacrum”? In these situations, the baby’s position is often pathologized, but what if we could create enough spaciousness and strength to help our baby move freely and help you feel comfortable no matter what position they’re in.

I'm in.

"Adelaide’s yoga class was the best prenatal care of my entire pregnancy."

- Celia, homebirth midwife

After years of teaching prenatal yoga classes, followed by years of attending homebirths, and now seeing thousands of women around the world for pelvic health concerns, I know there’s a gap in physiological prenatal movement knowledge.

But pregnancy isn’t about gaining knowledge, it's about gaining felt sense in the body.

In these classes, you will get a chance to individually share how you’re feeling and ask me any questions you have about what’s going on in your body.

You’ll learn pelvic bowl breathing techniques, how to mobilize and release your pelvic tissues, and how to support your growing belly. We’ll practice intelligent movement for strengthening your glutes, your legs, and your diaphragm.

You’ll experience moving in ways that will minimize pain in your pregnancy, and maximize spaciousness in your birth.

Along the way, we’ll be checking in and connecting with each other, because this is not JUST a movement class. This is a nourishing and relaxing space where you will be able to intentionally focus on your body and your baby in the presence of other women.

"Adelaide's prenatal sessions were the highlight of my week throughout my pregnancy. From 14 to 36 weeks, Adelaide helped with all my ailments through her extensive knowledge of the pregnant body. I learned more about my body from her than from any of my doctors!"

Adelaide Meadow

Adelaide is a physiologist, yoga teacher, bodyworker, and homebirth attendant who is passionate about the radical feminist reclamation of the body. Her genius is her ability to read the female body- specifically, women's sacred posture and the magic of the female pelvis.

She is passionate about liberating movement practices from biologically inaccurate and harmful bodily teachings that are grounded in male physiology, and rebirthing female movement practices. She is a sought-after teacher, leader, and speaker on women's health and women's culture, as well as the author and illustrator of a children's book about undisturbed birth.

“When I gave birth, I felt so in tune with my body. I had a thorough understanding of how my anatomy and my movements in labor were bringing my baby forth. Thank you Adelaide.”

- Hannah Grace, mother of 2

"Attending Adelaide's prenatal yoga class was the absolute highlight of my experience in moving from Maiden to Mother. I spent so much time learning and preparing for my birth, but these yoga classes gave me the opportunity to truly connect with my baby and feel into the capacity in which my body was able to hold. My first birth was rhythmic and easeful. I whole heartedly attribute that ease to Adelaide's movement classes."

- Karissa, mother of 2
